Czech Chicks Coming Home!

Hello all,
Glad you enjoyed our blog! We are now at the Beijing Airport ready to head home. It is Tuesday about 2:45 here and we leave in about an hour. We get to NE around midnight Tuesday. We lose a half of day when we fly back!

This morning Rene and I managed to walk to the Temple of Heaven before our driver picked us up. It was another fascinating place to visit. Yesterday we spent hours walking through the Forbidden City and then went to "Shopping Street" ... that is what the Chinese call it. We went back to the same restaurant we were the night before because the Czech Chicks finally found something they liked....snow peas and chicken with walnuts. Todd ordered duck again. He'll be quackin' by the time he gets home!

The past two evenings we enjoyed going to happy hour in our hotel. We posted some pictures of our new friends! Ahhh, Americans we can talk to and enjoy. Birds of a feather flock together as they say!

Boys, I tried to get you China soccer shirts but could not find official ones. Jason and Mr. Her both said, "soccer? not so good... Team is bad." I did pick up a couple of Olympic shirts. Don't worry, they don't have the goofy looking kids on them. The Chinese people don't care much about style. Today I saw a girl with red pants, orange shirt and yellow shoes. Many of their shirts have huge logos. The Nike/Addidas/Polo shirts have oversized stitching on them. Not cool.

Another interesting observation....Remember I said there were NO and I mean ZERO fat people in Shenzhen? Well, Jason told me it will be different in Beijing. I asked why and he said it is because they eat more meat. Well it is true. There were some men and women with extra body fat, but not much...they might be carrying an extra10-20 lbs. We have not seen one obese person here!

Well, they are going to board our plane so I need to sign off!
Thanks for checking in with us. You might try in a few days as Todd says he
will post a few notes. He is off to Shanghai. He returns July 25. Rene and I are glad we are not him. Love it, but we are ready to come home!
Lynn
